Details of the event are being planned.
The Sculptor, Joel Randall has said the statue will show Reeves walking a wood-plank sidewalk, with a Billy club in hand. Bass wasn’t only a U.S. deputy marshal; he spent the last couple of years of his life as a Muskogee policeman. Reeves spent 32 years as a U.S. Deputy Marshal in Indian Territory before retiring to become a Muskogee Police officer in 1907. Many people come to Three Rivers just to see the Bass Reeves Exhibit.
